Nursing Management

The nurses are the mainstay of the hospital

The supreme value guiding Mayanei HaYeshua - and underlying the functioning of the entire nursing organization - is the sanctity of life.

There are 370 members of nursing staff. 270 are female nurses, Almost all of them qualified, and a large proportion had Bachelor's and Master's degrees.  There are also approximately 100 auxiliary staff.

The hospital's motto  – "Professionals with  Soul" – characterizes the nursing staff in all departments.  Professional nursing, warm treatment and interaction with the patients and their families make for a winning combination.

The fact that Mayanei HaYeshua is a relatively small hospital also contributes to the family atmosphere.

The combination of professionalism, giving, kindness, and the special ambience pervading here, generates a feeling of belonging, for many nurses.

Nursing management policy is based on professional standards laid down by the Ministry of Health and the Director of Nursing.

The nursing management encourages nurses to continue their studies and enhance their professional knowledge by taking courses in various fields such as:  clinical guidance courses, postgraduate courses, seminars, conferences and refresher courses.

The principles guiding us are:

• Professionalism and concern
• The sanctity of life
• Medicine and nursing according to Halacha
• Personal integrity
• Cooperative teamwork, in a pleasant atmosphere

The nurses are the mainstay of the Medical Center: they are partners in the patients' treatment, and are constantly available, enabling nursing and medical problems to be identified and assessed throughout the day.

The hospital provides a clinical field for nursing schools to gain experience in maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and also for postgraduate courses such as midwifery and refresher courses in lactation guidance.
