The Department of Geriatrics was established in 1993 by Dr. Moshe Rothschild, the founder of Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center.   It is presently directed by Dr. Moshe Brooks, an experienced specialist in physical and rehabilitation medicine.  Most aspects of Geriatric Medicine are treated in the department, which provides nursing care for acute and rehabilitative cases.

In order to provide comprehensive care for patients suffering from a range of physical and mental problems, the staff includes paramedical specialists such as a dietian, a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and social worker.  The department's nurses are experienced in working with the elderly and are able to treat the most severe cases.
