The Intermediate Care Unit at Mayanei HaYeshua provides comprehensive medical care for patients with particularly severe respiratory problems, such as those requiring mechanical intervention and constant nursing care.
The treatment, of patients hospitalized in the unit, is individually adapted to the severity of their condition.

Respiratory rehabilitation and weaning from external ventilation.

Skilled and friendly staff
The unit's success derives from the close and fruitful cooperation between the medical, nursing, and paramedical teams, which include specialists, nurses, physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, clinical dietitian, and social worker.
Aside from the professional care they give, the staff are also sensitive to the difficult, sometimes traumatic experience, of having a family member or friend hospitalized in the unit, and therefore treat visitors with warmth, patience and friendliness. As in all Mayanei HaYeshua departments, great emphasis is placed on personal privacy and human dignity.
