The Department of Internal Medicine at Mayanei HaYeshua diagnoses and treats a number of internal and infectious diseases, with emphasis on rheumatic diseases, heart failure, and metabolic problems.
The Department is staffed by specialists in internal medicine and consultants in the fields of dermatology, cardiology, neurology, hematology, and others.
The Department's physicians also routinely advise patients hospitalized in other departments at the Medical Center, such as Surgery, Geriatrics, and Gynecology and, should the need arise, patients are accepted from these departments for continuation of treatment. Every year some 1,600 patients are treated in the Department, receiving excellent medical treatment and warm personal attention.

Comfortable Conditions
There are 42 beds, with one to three beds in each room. The rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment, and have ensuite bathrooms and showers.
Multidisciplinary Staff
The Department's staff includes, besides specialist physicians, qualified nurses specially trained in internal medicine, as well as paramedical professionals (dietitians, social workers) and external consultants. This experienced team believes that its success lies in the merging of professional medical treatment with preservation of the patient's dignity, and the sanctity of life.
Intensive Internal Medicine
An important aspect of the Intensive Internal Medicine Department is the presence of intensive treatment wards for patients requiring intensive care and more stringently controlled hospital conditions. These wards are comprehensively equipped with specialized medical equipment, including monitors and ventilators for each bed. Doctors' and nurses' visits to the ward are more frequent, and there is a nurse in attendance at all times.
