The Pediatric Department at Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center is staffed by a team of expert and experienced pediatricians, with a skilled and friendly nursing team, to treat our young patients with the sensitivity and attention that they are used to receiving at home.
The Pediatric Department was established in the year 2000 by Prof. Yitzhak Versano, one of the foremost pediatricians in the country.
It is presently in the capable hands of Dr. Hannah Ofir, with Prof. Versano continuing to take an active part, as Senior Consultant to the Department, determining general procedures and the patients' day-to-day treatment.
The Department has at its disposal all the resources to deal with most of the common children's ailments at the highest current standards of pediatric medicine accepted in children's departments in Israel and throughout the world.
The Department is supported by Mayanei HaYeshua's specialists in the areas of Ear, Nose and Throat disorders, orthopedics, surgery, neurology, and cardiology. When necessary, specialists are consulted from Schneider Children's Hospital, with whom the Department team is in close contact.

Pediatric Emergency Room
The Pediatric Emergency Room adjoins the Pediatric Department, and is open every day of the week 24 hours a day. It is fully equipped with the special pediatric first aid equipment necessary for the young patient, including modern resuscitation equipment, and has more than once saved the lives of children who arrived at the Emergency Room in critical condition.

The Department is in close contact with children's departments in the region, both for consultations in particular areas, and especially with intensive care units.

The Pediatric Department is one of the very few in the country whose physicians are all pediatric specialists. The Department is supported by the sophisticated and efficient medical laboratories of Mayanei HaYeshua, which provide reliable, real-time results.

The Pediatric Department is part of the community Medical Center, and very much involved in the wellbeing of the community. The entire team, from the doctors, through the nurses, and down to auxiliary staff, is aware of the special character of the community from where the patients originate, and every effort is made to provide solutions with an abundance of good will, exceptional service, and personal attention.
