The colorectal and colorectal cancer unit
The unit treats common disorders of the colon:
Benign disorders of the anal area, such as: fistulas, abscesses, fissures, hemorrhoids, including pilonidal sinus and others
Inflammatory intestinal disorders
Colonic and rectal cancers
Pelvic floor problems and sphincter incontinence
The unit places emphasis on giving the minimum possible treatment necessary, in order to preserve continuity of the colon and anal sphincters.
Surgical laparoscopy
Laparoscopic gall bladder removal and colon surgery
Breast health
The goal is to give comprehensive and multidisciplinary treatment for breast problems (benign and malignant tumors). Prevention, monitoring and treatment are integrated in the management of breast disorders, including:
1. Screening of healthy women over the age of 40
2. Monitoring of high risk women in conjunction with Prof. Eitan Friedman (Director of the Oncogenic Unit), which includes providing the patient with genetic information where necessary.
3. Monitoring of women previously suffering from breast cancer.
4. Monitoring and treatment of women after surgery. The main goal is to preserve the anatomy as far as possible. In cases where breast replacement is necessary, this is performed in cooperation with the department of plastic surgery.
Digestive system
1. Treatment of digestive problems, with the emphasis mainly on malignant disorders.
2. Treatment of disorders of the stomach and small intestine.
3. Preoperative and postoperative consultations
