The new, modern delivery rooms at Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center boast the most advanced equipment available in the field of obstetrics - as befits a hospital where some 9,000 babies are welcomed to the world every year. All eleven rooms have bathrooms and showers, modern delivery beds, and a treatment area for newborns; a midwife and medical team are in constant attendance throughout the birth, and a volunteer doula can be hired from the dedicated staff of
“Tamar” voluntary organization – which all contributes to the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Operating rooms for urgent surgical interventions are located next to the delivery rooms, as well as a post-natal recovery room.

An experienced obstetrics team, which respects the wishes of the mother in labor.
The delivery room midwives are qualified, professional, and experienced, enabling the mother to give birth safely, while choosing a position and method of childbirth suitable for her. The 40 midwives are skilled in various methods of pain management, enabling mostly natural births, according to the wishes of the mother. The delivery rooms are manned 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, by expert obstetricians, midwives, and anesthetists for administering epidurals. When a halachic question arises, the hospital rabbi can be consulted, and an answer received to every relevant question.
What is special about Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center delivery rooms?
* We deliver mothers who previously had caesarian sections (including induced birth), where appropriate. * We enable mothers to have a natural birth even after two caesarian sections, where appropriate. * The percentage of caesarian sections performed at Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center is one of the lowest in the
country - 12.5% of the total number of births, as compared to 22-24% in the Dan region, and a 20% national average. * Private medical services can be arranged: a private birth/caesarian section by an obstetrician, or a private birth by a
midwife from the Medical Center. Information about fees can be obtained at the Reception desk, at tel. 03-5771141.
Umbilical cord blood
After birth, blood may be taken from the umbilical cord. The mother should bring a personal blood collection kit in advance.
Postnatal "First Class" ward
Every postnatal mother in the Medical Center is entitled to a stay of three nights after a normal delivery and five nights after a caesarian section. After birth the mother will remain for one to two hours in the delivery room for recovery, and then be transferred to the postnatal ward. There are two postnatal wards: the regular one on the 5th floor, and a new, hotel-standard, deluxe ward on the 7th floor.
As long as it is not contra-indicated, the mother can go up to the "First Class" Ward on the 7th floor.
Please note: Mothers so wishing can stay beyond this time (as long as there is room available), or reserve a private room in the postnatal ward - in consideration of payment.
The course of the birth is managed in full cooperation with the mother and her wishes by a skilled and experienced midwifery and obstetrics team, leading to a relatively low incidence of complications.
