Hepatic, Pancreatic, and Bile Duct Surgery Unit

About the Unit

Hepatobiliary surgery is an advanced medical field focused on the treatment of upper gastrointestinal diseases: the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. This system includes sensitive organs that are crucial for the proper functioning of the body. Treatment of these organs requires high expertise due to their complexity, and usually a combination of specialists from several medical fields is required.
The Hepatobiliary Surgery Unit at Mayanei HaYeshua offers a wide range of advanced treatments and surgeries using innovative medical technologies. The comprehensive treatment includes a rigorous diagnosis, a tailored treatment plan including surgeries or transplants if necessary, and accompaniment until after recovery. The unit has a multidisciplinary medical team that includes surgeons with extensive experience in complex surgeries of the upper gastrointestinal tract, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and a transplant team. Alongside them, the nursing team employs courteous and professional nurses who accompany the patients with maximum sensitivity.
