Management of the Medical Center
Medical Center Management
Dr. Moshe Rothschild, founder of the Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center, was born in Zurich, Switzerland. He studied at the Talmud Torah of his native city and later at the yeshivas of Lucerne and Montreux. He went on to study medicine at the University of Zurich, where he trained under Professor Guido Fanconi, director of the city’s University Children’s Hospital and one of the founders of modern pediatrics. He later continued his studies in Paris, where he specialized in pediatrics.
Shlomo Rothschild
Mr. Shlomo Rothschild has been part of Mayanei Hayeshua since before it opened, working alongside his father, founder Dr. Moshe Rothschild, through a series of roles. He was appointed CEO in 2015.
Dr. Yuval Weiss
Dr. Yuval Weiss, Director of Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center, was born and raised in Jerusalem. He is married, a father of three, a grandfather of four, and serves as a Colonel (Res.) in the Israel Defense Forces.
Dr. Weiss graduated from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University in 1988. In 1996, he completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, followed by a specialization in Medical Administration in 2004.
Yehoshua Yoskovitz
Mr. Yehoshua Yoskovitz brings senior retail-management experience to the hospital, most recently as operations manager of the national Yesh grocery chain. He joined Mayanei Hayeshua as Vice President in 2012.
Sharon Eiser, RN
Mrs. Sharon Eiser is a Hadassah-trained nurse with a master’s in health systems management. She spent years in neonatal intensive care at Sheba before joining Mayanei Hayeshua, where she has led nursing since.
David Hurvitz, CPA
Mr. David Hurvitz is a CPA with 25 years in finance, previously senior vice president and head of finance at Bank Poalei Agudat Israel.
Shmuel Ben Haim
Mr. Shmuel Ben Haim held senior roles at Laniado Medical Center, including assistant CEO and treasurer, before joining Mayanei Hayeshua. As Vice President, he oversees recruitment and employment across the hospital.
Rivka Schlesinger
Mrs. Rivka Schlesinger leads the hospital’s health economics, pricing, and relationships with the HMOs and insurers. She holds an MA in Public Policy from the Hebrew University.
Tovi Glick
Mrs. Tovi Glick began at the hospital running the CEO’s office and now leads its large-scale development and construction projects. She also coordinates the hospital’s board of directors.

Rabbinical Board
The Rabbinical Board of Mayanei Hayeshua works from a deep commitment to uniting advanced medicine with Jewish law. It serves as a bridge between the medical staff and patients, ensuring open dialogue and cooperation that balances clinical needs with halachic and cultural sensitivity.
Its founding members were Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Wosner zt”l, Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Nissim Karelitz zt”l, and, lb”ch, Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein shlita.
The Board advises and guides medical teams through complex situations that call for fateful decisions, and offers halachic guidance on matters such as fertility treatment, observance of Shabbat, the sanctity of life, and care in critical conditions. It also accompanies patients and their families, answering halachic questions and providing emotional and spiritual support.
