A patient who is due to undergo a medical procedure performed under anesthesia requires an anesthesiologist’s examination first. The examination, or suite of tests is tailored to each patient individually.
The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic is intended for patients with serious comorbidities who have been referred to it by the various departments. It also serves as an “intersection” for early detection of problems that may arise during surgery.
Each patient is informed in advance of the tests they must undergo. Upon arrival at the clinic, the patient is examined by a senior anesthesiologist, and will receive information about the various types of anesthesia suitable for his condition. Thereafter, he will sign an Informed Consent form for medical treatment.
The clinic is for examination of patients requiring a medical procedure in one of the following areas:
Gastroenterology
General Surgery
Orthopedics
Gynecology
Pulmonary Institute
Urology
Cardiology
Neurology
The hospital is independent of the HMO, and members of all HMOs are accepted there.
Members of Meuhedet HMO and Maccabi are admitted to the clinic by presentation of a referral only or by payment according to the hospital's price list.
As part of the agreements with Clalit and Leumit HMOs, Forms 17 will be given to the outpatient clinics, or a payment will be made according to the hospital's price list.
