This vision has guided the Mental Health Center at Mayanei Hayeshua since the day it was
founded. One of the largest and most respected centers of its kind in the country, it treats every
patient who comes through its doors with deep respect, working in keeping with the principle
that the sanctity of human life comes first.
The Mayanei Hayeshua Mental Health Center is the only regional center of its kind in Israel,
distinguished by its approach to treatment, its cultural sensitivity, the breadth of its work, and the
accessibility of its services.

With sensitivity and respect
Spread across six floors, the Center offers modern, welcoming spaces, comfortable and immaculate wards, and treatment rooms built to the highest standards in Israel. There is no forced hospitalisation in a closed ward here, and the environment throughout is calm and discreet. The Mental Health Center operates in its own building, separate from the main hospital.
Protecting patients’ dignity is central to everything the Center does — both physically, with private waiting areas, landscaped grounds, and a relaxed atmosphere, and culturally, with religious sensitivity and care tailored to the community it serves. Among other things, patients
are provided with meals for Shabbat and festivals and rooms without televisions, and there is a beit midrash available to patients in the day treatment unit, so that study can remain part of their daily routine.
Research and innovation
The Center’s research institute places Mayanei Hayeshua at the forefront of innovation in mental health. Affiliated with Tel Aviv University and Ariel University, the Center teaches students from both institutions, and its specialists lecture in academia. Thanks to its high standard of care and the work of its research institute, the Center has become an internationally recognised model for delivering mental health treatment to communities with distinct cultural needs.
