The Infectious Diseases Department at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center diagnoses and treats infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, or fungi, as well as infections patients have contracted in the community.
The department’s medical staff diagnose each patient’s condition and identify the source of infection in order to determine the appropriate treatment. The department’s specialists also advise physicians in other departments throughout the center on the care of patients — whether outpatients or those hospitalized — with infectious diseases, including patients who requireisolation.
