Pediatric ER - Department of Emergency Medicine
About
The Pediatric Emergency Department responds to edical emergencies in children from birth to age 18, 24 hours a day.
Children may be brought to the ER for emergencies such as seizures, breathing difficulties, or trauma, or referred by a family physician or HMO call center for evaluation of conditions such as febrile illness or infection.
Once evaluation and treatment in the ER are complete, the medical team will decide whether the child can continue follow-up care in the community with their family doctor, or whether further investigation and treatment is needed in the hospital’s pediatric ward.
Pediatric care requires not only specialized medical knowledge but also particular sensitivity.
Our team specializes in caring for infants, children, and adolescents, and is highly experienced in providing professional medical care with the utmost compassion.

Reception and Treatment Process
• Registration at the front desk (a referral letter, if required)
• Initial assessment by a nurse
• Examination by a physician
• Blood tests and imaging, as needed
• Treatment
• Discharge home, or admission to a ward

- Referral through a medical hotline
- By ambulance
- In urgent cases — such as breathing difficulties or poisoning — you may also come in
person, without a referral
• When contacting the ER, please bring the most up-to-date medical records, including
ECG results and imaging studies.
• If your child takes regular medication, please bring an updated list.
