The General Psychiatric Clinic provides care for patients with a range of psychiatric symptoms and disorders who do not need hospitalisation or day care. The clinic has a large team that includes specialist psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and social workers, as well as allied health therapists in fields such as movement and art therapy.
When a patient is referred and admitted, the professional team holds an initial meeting — bringing together a psychiatrist, a psychologist, and a social worker — to assess the patient’s condition and shape a treatment plan.
The clinic also supports patients in other departments across the medical center who need mental health care during a hospital stay or course of treatment, for any reason. The team advises physicians in those departments and, where needed, meets with the patient and arranges care for them, sensitively and gently.

The clinic does not treat cases involving co-occurring conditions (comorbidity).
The hospital is independent of the HMO, and members of all HMOs are accepted there.
Members of Meuhedet HMO and Maccabi are admitted to the clinic by presentation of a referral only or by payment according to the hospital's price list.
As part of the agreements with Clalit and Leumit HMOs, Forms 17 will be given to the outpatient clinics, or a payment will be made according to the hospital's price list.
