Pediatric Division

Dr. Anat Laor, a pediatric specialist,
is the head of the Pediatric and Adolescent Surgical Unit at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center.
After graduating with honors from medical school in Hungary, she completed her residency in general surgery at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, and subsequently undertook a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Following her training, she returned to Kaplan Medical Center as a senior physician.
In 2017, she co-founded the Pediatric Surgery Department at Assuta Ashdod Hospital with Dr. Boris Orkin, in professional collaboration with the department at Mayanei Hayeshua.
Throughout her work as both a resident and a senior physician, Dr. Laor has performed countless surgeries on children across a wide range of conditions, from common cases such as inguinal or umbilical hernia, undescended testis, and laparoscopic procedures, to complex surgeries for congenital anomalies and tumors.

Dr. Lionel Kopeliovitch, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,
is a pediatric orthopedic specialist at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center.

He completed his internship at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Be’er Yaakov,
where he worked in the departments of orthopedics, surgery, basic sciences, rehabilitation medicine, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery.

He served as a senior physician in the Pediatric Orthopedics Unit and later as Head of the Unit.
He subsequently served as Deputy Head of the Orthopedics Department at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center.

Dr. David Elimelech is a specialist in pediatric cardiology at Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center
Previously, he worked as a private general practitioner and was an active member of SOS Médecins, an emergency home medical visit organization in Marseille, France
He served as a senior consultant physician in pediatrics in the Pediatric Department at North Medical Center – Poriya, near Tiberias

He later completed a subspecialty fellowship in pediatric cardiology at CHU Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital in Montreal, Canada
He served as a pediatric consultant physician at Clalit Health Services, while also working as a pediatric cardiologist at Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tikva
Later, alongside his work at Clalit, he served as a pediatric cardiologist at HaEmek Medical Center in Afula

Dr. Einav Lahav, a graduate of the Hadassah School of Medicine and the Hebrew University, is a pediatric nephrologist at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center.
She completed a general internship in the departments of internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry, and pediatrics at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.
She worked as a senior resident at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital of Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, in Ramat Gan, where she continued her residency in pediatrics.
She later specialized in pediatric nephrology at the Pediatric Nephrology Clinic at Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tikva. She subsequently served as a resident physician in pediatric nephrology at the Pediatric Nephrology Clinic at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Boris Orkin, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at Samara University in Russia,
is a senior physician and surgeon in the Pediatric Surgery Department at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center.
He completed his internship at the Samara Clinical University Medical Center, where he continued with a clinical subspecialty in the urology department.
He later specialized in general urology in the urology department at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he continued working as a senior urologist.
In addition, he specialized in general surgery and pediatric surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem.
He later served as a senior pediatric surgeon at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
He also served as Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
